Effective date: August 29, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of Nuvola Drive, including the Nuvola Drive web application and mobile apps.
Nuvola Drive is provided by Nuvola Labs FZ-LLC, a subsidiary of Nuvola Digital, registered in Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
In these Terms, "Nuvola", "we", "us", and "our" mean Nuvola Labs FZ-LLC.
By creating an account or using Nuvola Drive, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 16 years old to create or use a Nuvola Drive account.
If the law where you live requires you to be older or meet another requirement before entering into these Terms, that requirement also applies.
If you use Nuvola Drive on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
Nuvola Drive is an end-to-end encrypted cloud storage service that lets you store, organize, sync, download, and share files.
Your file contents are encrypted on your device before they are uploaded. File names are also encrypted. Folder names are not yet encrypted in the current Beta release and are stored in readable form, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Nuvola stores and processes encrypted file data but does not hold the usable keys needed to read your private file contents.
Encrypted file data may be stored using the Vola Network, infrastructure operated or controlled by Nuvola, or a combination of infrastructure used to provide the service.
During Beta and pre-production testing, encrypted copies of file shards may also be kept on infrastructure operated or controlled by Nuvola. These copies remain encrypted.
Some storage infrastructure may be provided or operated by independent infrastructure providers or Vola storage node operators. Availability, performance, and data durability can therefore depend partly on systems outside Nuvola's direct control.
Nuvola Drive is under active development. Features may be added, changed, limited, replaced, or removed as the service evolves.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials, recovery information, and devices secure.
Nuvola does not receive or store your plaintext password.
Because Nuvola Drive uses client-side encryption, we cannot simply bypass your encryption or create a replacement copy of your encryption keys on your behalf.
If you lose access to your account and also lose all available recovery methods, your encrypted files may become permanently unrecoverable.
You are responsible for keeping your recovery key and other recovery information somewhere safe.
You must provide accurate account information and must not allow another person to use your account in a way that violates these Terms.
If you believe someone has gained unauthorized access to your account, contact [email protected].
Nuvola Drive may offer free, promotional, Beta, trial, or paid storage plans.
The current 100 GB storage allowance is promotional and does not create a permanent entitlement to that amount of free storage.
We may change promotional allowances in the future. If a reduction would place your existing account above its new storage limit, we will provide reasonable notice and a reasonable opportunity to download files, reduce your storage usage, or move to another available plan before taking action that affects your stored data.
We will not intentionally delete your files solely because a promotional storage allowance changes without first giving you reasonable notice and an opportunity to act, except where immediate action is required by law, security, abuse prevention, or these Terms.
Paid subscriptions are not currently available during Beta.
If we introduce paid subscriptions, the applicable price, billing frequency, renewal terms, cancellation process, taxes, trial conditions, and any applicable refund rights will be shown before you purchase.
Additional terms may apply if a subscription is later purchased through Apple, Google, Stripe, or another payment provider.
You keep ownership of the files and other content you upload to Nuvola Drive.
You give Nuvola only the limited rights reasonably necessary to operate the service. This includes the right to receive, store, transmit, replicate, distribute across storage infrastructure, and otherwise technically process your encrypted data as needed to provide Nuvola Drive.
This permission does not give Nuvola ownership of your files.
When you choose to share content, you also authorize us to provide the technical functions needed to make that content available to the people or link recipients you selected.
You are responsible for making sure you have the legal right to upload, store, and share the content you place in Nuvola Drive. This also applies to content you bring into Nuvola Drive using an import feature, such as the Google Drive import.
How we process account information, technical information, reported public links, and other personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
You may not use Nuvola Drive in violation of applicable law or the rights of another person.
In particular, you may not use Nuvola Drive to store, distribute, publish, or share:
You also may not:
Nuvola Drive is designed so that we normally cannot read the contents of your private encrypted files. That privacy does not remove your responsibility for what you choose to store or share.
Public sharing is different from private storage.
When you create a public share link, the complete link contains the information needed by the Nuvola Drive client to decrypt the shared item. Anyone who obtains the complete link may therefore be able to access that content while the link remains valid.
By creating a public share link, you choose to make that item accessible outside your private Nuvola Drive account.
If someone reports a complete public share link to us, that link gives our moderation process the same ability to access the shared item that another recipient of the complete link has.
We may review a reported public share to determine whether it violates these Terms or applicable law.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
Reports concerning public share links or suspected abuse can be sent to [email protected].
These moderation rights apply to content that becomes accessible to us through public sharing, reports, or another lawful means. They do not give Nuvola general access to your otherwise private, end-to-end encrypted files.
You may request deletion of your account using the account deletion options provided by Nuvola Drive.
The deletion process and 30-day recovery period are described in our Privacy Policy.
Logging in during the recovery period does not by itself cancel the deletion request. The account is restored only after the required recovery verification is successfully completed.
We may temporarily restrict, suspend, or terminate an account where we reasonably believe:
Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will try to give you notice and an opportunity to address the issue before permanent termination.
Immediate action may be taken where the circumstances reasonably require it.
Inactive accounts do not currently expire solely because they are inactive. If we introduce an inactivity policy in the future, we will provide notice before it begins affecting existing accounts.
Nuvola Drive, including its software, interfaces, branding, designs, documentation, trademarks, logos, and other materials provided by Nuvola, belongs to Nuvola or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Your use of Nuvola Drive does not transfer ownership of Nuvola's intellectual property to you.
Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use Nuvola Drive for its intended purpose.
You may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Nuvola Drive except where we expressly permit it or applicable law gives you a right that cannot be restricted by contract.
Nothing in this section affects your ownership of your own files and content.
Some parts of Nuvola Drive depend on third-party services, infrastructure, operating systems, app stores, networks, or service providers.
Their availability and operation may be governed by their own terms. For example, if you use the Google Drive import feature, your use of Google Drive and Google sign-in remains subject to Google's terms.
The Vola Network also includes independently operated storage nodes. Nuvola does not control every independent node operator or third-party infrastructure provider.
Nuvola is not responsible for a third-party service simply because Nuvola Drive interoperates with it, but nothing in these Terms limits any responsibility Nuvola has where applicable law says that responsibility cannot be excluded.
Nuvola Drive is provided "as is" and "as available."
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that:
During Beta, testing, and promotional periods, faults, interruptions, changes, and unavailable features may occur more frequently than in a mature production service.
You should keep appropriate backups of information that you cannot afford to lose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, remedies, or other consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nuvola will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss arising from your use of Nuvola Drive.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are also not responsible for loss that results from:
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any mandatory rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable law.
We may modify, update, replace, suspend, or discontinue features of Nuvola Drive as the service develops.
Where a change materially affects your existing storage allowance or your ability to access existing data, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable unless immediate action is necessary for security, legal, or technical reasons.
We may update these Terms as Nuvola Drive, our business, or applicable law changes.
If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable notice before the updated Terms take effect, such as through the app, website, or email.
The effective date at the top of these Terms will show when the current version became effective.
If you continue using Nuvola Drive after updated Terms take effect, you agree to the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires another form of consent.
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information Nuvola processes, what information Nuvola cannot normally access because of the service's encryption design, how information is used and retained, and the privacy rights available to you.
Where privacy laws in your country apply to our processing, you may have additional rights under those laws.
Nothing in these Terms reduces any privacy rights you have under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the United Arab Emirates.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or Nuvola Drive will be handled by a court or authority with competent jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights or jurisdiction rules that apply to you.
If you use Nuvola Drive as a consumer, mandatory laws in your country of residence may give you additional rights. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be waived by contract.
If you download the Nuvola Drive mobile app from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply. In this section, "Apple" means Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries.
These Terms, together with any additional terms that expressly apply to a feature or plan, form the agreement between you and Nuvola concerning your use of Nuvola Drive.
If a provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we have waived our right to enforce it later.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to another person without our consent.
We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, sale of assets, or transfer of the Nuvola Drive business, subject to applicable law.
These Terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, employment relationship, or agency relationship between you and Nuvola.
You agree that we may provide service-related notices electronically, including through Nuvola Drive, our website, or the email address associated with your account.

Nuvola Drive is currently in Beta and Open Testing. These Terms govern your use of the service during the testing period and reflect the service, plans, and features as they exist today.
Updated Terms of Use will be published for the production launch of Nuvola Drive. We will notify you of material changes as described in Section 14, and continued use after updated Terms take effect will be subject to those Terms, except where applicable law requires a different form of consent.
